• Wildlife tour are conducted to give guests an experience of traveling through the central part of the Nagarahole national park in open jeeps/gypsies on selected asphalted paved roads/routes combined with providing glimpses of coffee plantations(also pepper and citrus interspersed) in the southern Coorg district situated adjoining/bordering the National park
• Wildlife tour do not include the park’s tourism zone roads of the Karnataka forest department (KFD) in which KFD conducts trips hurriedly (only one hour)in crowded buses.
• Experienced local derivers/guides of Jungle Inn ensure a leisurely conducted trip with ample scope for photography and opportunity for observing animals behaviour in their natural habitat.
• Wildlife tour are carefully timed to considerably enhance the probability of sightings.
• Special care/attention is accorded during the trip at certain junctures where animals are known to cross the road in order to find food and water.
• Whenever possible an interaction with Coorg plantation community would be arranged.
• Sighting of animals much depends on luck, times and coincidence in a large dense forest like Nagarahole spread across 640 sq.kms. Even though it shelters abundant number of different species of animals and birds.
• Having said that luck, time and coincidence play a vital role in sightings we, at Jungle Inn, must confide that in last 16years of operation most of the sightings and even the best ones are by the side of the paved roads (asphalted) meandering through the central part of the forest
  

  Even tigers, leopards,wild dogs and sloth bears besides elephants,gaurs,sambars,barking deer, mouse deer,langoors,giant squirrels and a host of bird species are sighted very frequently by the asphalted and paved roads.

• Charges: Rs 1800 per vehicle, per trip (maximum 6 persons per vehicle) full payment must be made in the office prior to departure.

Rafting and Rappeling

We introduced these in 2007 to cater to folks who are not satisfied with just wildlife adventure. Rafting is offered in white water and still water, depending on your choice and availability. Please let us know in advance if you would like to do rafting while you are visiting us.

Leisure

For the less adventurous ones, you could try light activities such as Wildlife tours, coracle ride, visit to near by Tibetan monastery and handicraft center or go for a bicycle ride on the fringes of the forest with the cool breeze on your face.

Trekking:

Trekking is arranged to Iruppu falls and Brahmagiri ranges on request. Trek through the forest is subject to approval from Forest department.
